2019 Hyundai Elantra spied without disguise

Updated sedan spied in holding yard ahead of Korean launch in the coming months.
Khodrocar - The facelifted 2019 Hyundai Elantra has surfaced in new images published online this week, giving us a first look at the updated small sedan ahead of its official reveal.

Posted by Autocar India, the images show a heavily front end that is far more angular, perhaps previewing the next turn in Hyundai's evolving styling.

Up front the headlights are almost cartoonish, extending into yet another new interpretation of Hyundai's 'cascading' grille, matched to a sharp-edged triangular design and integrated daytime-running lights.

It's a little more conventional through to the rear, with a similar sloping roofline and integrated boot to the current car, though now with design cues that look similar to the larger Sonata sedan.

There's also 'Elantra' lettering that runs across the bootlid, a theme that is seen on Hyundai's larger sedan models like the Sonata and Grandeur.

We haven't seen images of the interior as yet, but we'd expect a refreshed cabin, though not to the extent of the exterior changes. The Elantra will likely get a range of technology upgrades including Hyundai's latest infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging and upgraded materials.

According to Autocar India's report, the Elantra is scheduled to launch in its home market in Korea next month, ahead of a global rollout early next year.
